The Ole Miss men’s basketball team has entered the quarterfinals of the National Invitation Tournament. The Rebels will host Georgia Tech Tuesday night in Oxford. If Coach Andy Kennedy’s team can handle the Yellow Jackets, they move on to the semifinals, and one step closer to the NIT championship at Madison Square Garden in New York City. That game tips off at 8 pm.
Meanwhile, the Mississippi State women’s team is rolling into the NCAA Sweet Sixteen: the Bulldogs will face the winner of tonight’s game between Oklahoma and Washington. This makes back-to-back Sweet Sixteen berths for Coach Vic Vic Schaefer’s squad. Their next game will be played Friday night. Time TBA.
