Mississippians Hit a Lot of Deer on the Road

JACKSON, Miss. — When it comes to hitting a deer on the road, Mississippi ranks number 8 in the nation. According to State Farm, over the past year there have been nearly 23,000 deer collisions in the Mississippi alone. They also say October and November are the two worst months for it, between 6 and 9 pm.

The best you can do to prevent hitting a deer is to put your high beams on and keep and sharp eye out.
