Mom With Meth: Son Says He Can’t Go Home Then Deputies Get Involved

JONES COUNTY, Miss.–What would you do if your mom was doing meth? For a teenager in Jones County, the choice was to leave home and not go back. When deputies came looking for him, he told them everything.

A news release from the Jones County Sheriff’s Dept. said the teen told them that his mother, Christy Stevison-Butts, had meth at the house.

Deputies got there and got permission to search the place. When they did, they found meth in the bedroom and another child there who was disabled.

Both children are now in Dept. of Human Services custody and Stevison-Butts was taken to jail on child endangerment and drug charges.
