More threats made to Hinds school, teen arrested

Hinds County Sheriff’s Investigators have arrested a 2nd person, a 16 year-old Raymond High School student, for his involvement in telephonic threats made towards students at Raymond High School yesterday.

The unnamed juvenile is being held at the Youth Detention Center. This investigation is ongoing and additional arrests are possible.

Sheriff’s Investigators, along with Clinton Police and FBI Task Force Officers, made an arrest in a separate threat made against students at Clinton, Raymond and Provine schools earlier yesterday morning.

“We treat each incident as a serious threat being made towards our schools and students,” said Major Pete Luke. “These type threats result in the department pulling officers from the streets and other duties, and it effects the safety of everyone in the county.”
