National Coverage for Both State and Ole Miss Coming Saturday, How Your Teams Did

OXFORD, Miss.–National coverage for both Ole Miss and State is coming this weekend. From the Grove, it’s ESPN’s College Game Day this Saturday. The game against Alabama is sold out and it was a record crowd at Saturday’s game, over 61,000 people. If you’re pulling for State this Saturday when they take on Texas A&M, you’ll be able to watch SEC Nation from 9 to 11 a.m., featuring Tim Tebow and Marcus Spears live from the Junction.

It was a celebration for the Rebel Nation after they beat Memphis with a substantial whoopin, 24 to 3 Saturday. It was an unnecessary roughness call when a fight broke out on the field and several flags were thrown.

Southern Miss didn’t get that win they were looking for. Their record is now 2-3 and 0-1 in conference play after losing to Rice Saturday in their first conference game of the season. The final was 41 to 23.

State had the week off. Delta State smashed Central State 72 to 8 on Pig Pickin’ weekend. JSU squeaked by Arkansas Pine Bluf, 33 to 30.
