PICAYUNE, Miss. – New owners have reopened Pearl River County’s only movie theater.
For the past five years residents had been driving over half-an-hour to see Hollywood’s latest flicks.
What was formally known as the River Ridge Cinema 4 has been completely renovated and renamed Acadiana Cinemas. The renovation took over five months and features four auditoriums, new chairs, ceiling tiles, carpet, along with new digital projectors.
The largest theater will hold 154 patrons and features “over sized chairs”.
Movie goers should look forward to ticket prices being lower than that of larger cities.
