TUPELO, Miss. — A picture of a person of interest has been released to the public in hopes they will be able to help an investigation.
On Monday, a BancorpSouth bank branch was robbed in the Gloster Creek Village and a shoot out occurred shortly after near crosstown with two police officers shot.
Cpl. Gale Stauffer was fatally wounded and Officer Joseph Maher was also critically wounded but doctors hope he is able to make a full recovery.

The reward for a tip leading to an arrest of the person(s) responsible is over $162,000 now.
