WEST POINT, Miss.–A pitbull attacked a toddler in West Point on Wednesday and sent that child to the hospital.
The three-year-old was bitten on the head, shoulders, and leg according to WCBI.
When police arrived the child had already been taken for medical help by a witness but the dog because aggressive again and it was shot and killed.
The police report says that multiple adults were at the home when the attack happened but the child’s mom was not. Neighbors alerted the residents that the attack was happening.
Criminal charges are pending on the case and they could be felonies.
