The standoff between an armed suspect and police on I-10 in Gautier has been resolved, and a man has been taken into custody without incident.

Traffic is at a halt on I-10 in Gautier headed westbound around exit 61 while police and an armed suspect are in a standoff.
According to reports, a suspect is armed with a machete inside of an 18-wheeler while police have him surrounded, and traffic is backed up. Reports from the scene also state that the wheels on the truck have been shot out.
The 18-wheeler was being chased while entering Mississippi after he reportedly caused several accidents in Alabama.
