State Capital is Latest Miss. City to Pass LGBT Resolution

JACKSON, Miss. – Jackson, the state’s largest city has passed a resolution affirming equality for all of its citizens including those who are lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT). Jackson City Council members passed that resolution Tuesday with a 3-1 vote.

The first Mississippi city to pass this type of resolution was Starkville in January. Since, several cities across the state have followed including Hattiesburg, Greenville, Magnolia, Oxford, and Bay St. Louis.
