Suspected Burglar Dies in Crash, Thrown From Stolen SUV

AMORY, Miss.–A car chase ended with suspected burglar Joseph Michael Keller, 34. of Amory, being thrown through the sunroof of a stolen SUV. He died at the scene Sunday night in Monroe County, said Coroner Alan Gurley.

The Avalanche was stolen in Tupelo Saturday night, reported WTVA. When it was spotted in a cemetery, someone called deputies and Keller took off. They chased the SUV until Keller wrecked.

Keller was suspected of burglaries in Monroe and Itawamba counties. His body is at the state crime lab for an autopsy.
