Weekday weather rundown: 2-21-18

Here’s a quick rundown of the weather today across Mississippi.

In north Mississippi, a flood watch is in effect until late Saturday night. Today, expect showers and a chance of thunderstorms. Highs will be in the upper 60s and tonight, cooler temperatures with showers and a slight chance of thunderstorms. Lows will be in the mid to upper 50s.

In central Mississippi, there is a flash flood watch in effect through tomorrow morning. Mostly cloudy today with some patchy fog in the morning and a slight chance of showers in the morning. There is also a slight chance of thunderstorms during the day and then more showers in the afternoon. Highs will near 80 and tonight, mostly cloudy skies with a chance of showers and thunderstorms during the night, as well as, some patchy fog after midnight. Lows will be in the mid-60s.

In south Mississippi, mostly cloudy today with some patchy fog in the morning and a chance of showers during the day. Expect some isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs will be in the lower 80s and tonight, mostly cloudy skies with a chance for more isolated showers and thunderstorms during the night and some areas of fog after midnight. Lows will be in the upper 60s.
