West Nile Cases Rise in Mississippi

Skeeter

JACKSON, Miss. — Three more people now have the West Nile Virus.

The Mississippi Department of Health confirmed Monday that two of those people live in Hinds County and the other in Forrest County.  That brings the total number of people in the state with the mosquito transmitted virus this year to 15; and one person has died.  You can protect yourself be wearing mosquito repellent with deet and getting rid of standing water around your house.  That’s where mosquitos breed.
