Wildfires Continue in Copiah County

COPIAH COUNTY, Miss. – The wildfires have reignited in Copiah County.

Yesterday, fires burned over 350 acres across the area.

Firefighters thought they had the fire contained, but it only takes a single spark to start a wildfire.

Tymple Turner is with the Mississippi Forestry Commission and says burning anything outside is just not an option.

Sunday, fire crews spent over 10 hours battling the blaze.
