DUNCAN, Miss.- Duncan will be the next town to receive a Blues Trail Marker.
The town in Bolivar County along with blues legend Eddie C. Campbell will be honored Friday with a marker on the Mississippi Blues Trail.
The marker will be dedicated at 11 a.m. at East Main and Park Street in Duncan. Campbell will perform at the ceremony.
Campbell was born in Duncan in 1939. Campbell left Mississippi as a child and was raised in Chicago, where he joined a legendary circle of blues musicians. Campbell toured and lived in Europe in the 1980s. He suffered a stroke in 2013 but continues to perform.
