Man arrested in bribery connection to Hinds County Asst. DA case

 

JACKSON, Miss.- A man has been arrested in correlation to conspiracy and bribery in the case against Hinds County District Attorney Robert Shuler Smith. 

Robert Henderson, 44, has been accused of offering bribes to former Hinds County Assistant District Attorney Ivon Johnson. The exchange was a dismissal of charges against three criminal defendants.

The counts consist of one count of bribery of a public official and one count of conspiracy to bribe a public official. His bond has been set for $5,000 for the bribery charge and another $5,000 for the conspiracy charge.
