Bad weather causes school closures and delays

Some nasty weather this Thursday morning has schools closing and delaying their start times.

Natchez-Adams School District has canceled all classes today due to hazardous road conditions and widespread power outages.


Bolton Edward Elementary and Middle Schools will be closed today along with the restart center in Hinds County.

The Stone County School District will delay the start of school for 2 hours today.


There will be a 1 hour delayed start for all schools in the Laurel School District.


In Hancock County, buses will be delayed one hour this morning. The school will open on time, however, school officials are saying that faculty and staff should report as the weather allows.


Claiborne County School District will be delayed until 10 a.m. and Jefferson Davis County School District will be delayed 1 hour.
