Youth Concussion Bill Passes Miss. House and Senate

JACKSON, Miss. — Mississippi’s first youth concussion law could be on the way. The bill has passed the Mississippi House and Senate and is on its way to the governor’s desk and he is expected to sign it.

Basically, if a young athlete is showing signs of a concussion, they will be removed from a game or practice and will not be able to return until they have been cleared by a doctor. Mississippi is the last state in the country to not have a law like this.
