High Price to Pay for Beat Down

OXFORD, Miss.—Two Ole Miss football players are being sued for $2 million for allegedly beating a man at a 2013 frat party.

Matthew Baird said in his complaint that Denzel Nkemdiche hit him from behind and knocked him unconscious.  Then Robert Nkemdiche and five others kicked and stomped him.  The complaint, which was filed in Lafayette County Circuit Court, did not name the others said to have been involved.

Ole Miss Athletic Director Ross Bjork released a statement saying that the school would support the brothers as they defend themselves in the case.  Bjork said the proper authorities had investigated the matter and found no evidence the brothers did anything wrong.
