OLIVE BRANCH, Miss. –Animal cruelty charges have been filed against a Memphis firefighter after five dogs were taken from him in Olive Branch.
Edward Small was also charged for having too many dogs on the property. He was arrested after someone concerned about the dogs’ well-being called to report their poor living conditions.
Small, who had been with the Memphis Fire Department since 1999, was relieved of duty pending results of the investigation.
