Get the Gatorade Back Out, Temps Headed Back Toward the 80s

Photo: Fair goers catch a show at the Budweiser Pavilion. It’s probably a great night to do that Tuesday or Wednesday before the sweat sets in again.

JACKSON, Miss.–It seems like fall is here and maybe you can enjoy a Friday night football game without two gallons of Gatorade. Highs in the 70s won’t last long, though. Temps are headed right back toward the mid to upper 80s for highs.

While highs have been in the 70s and many people have been hitting the midway at the state fair (with great, crisp fair weather), lows have dipped into the upper 40s in some places the past couple of nights, reinforcing the notion that the hot, sticky weather of summer is over.

But, after Wednesday it’s another taste, at least, of hot times, with temps Friday anywhere from 83 north to 87 south and on the coast.

You can get the jackets out, but don’t expect to be able to retire the short sleeves or the wife beater just yet.
