Lowndes County Teen Indicted for Arson and Capital Murder

COLUMBUS, Miss.- A Lowndes County teenager accused of killing his neighbor and setting her house on fire has been indicted for arson and capital murder.

The Commercial Dispatch reports Traveil Hicks, 18, was indicted last week by a Lowndes County grand jury for the August death of 46-year-old Gwen Roberson. Roberson’s mobile home was less than 50 yards from Hicks’ home on Downs Road.

Hicks will appear in court Feb. 23, 2015. Hicks could face the death penalty if convicted of capital murder.
