Man Hits Estranged Wife with Pitchfork, Shoots Man in the Hand, Say Police

MAGEE, Miss. – This man opted out of chopsticks and instead grabbed a pitchfork. Police say this Sunday lunch at the China Buffet off highway 49 in Magee took a turn for the worse when a fight broke out in the parking lot.

Police Chief Randy Crawford says according to witnesses, David Stubbs hit his estranged wife, Yolanda Stubbs, with the handle of a pitchfork when she tried to break up a fight between him and Karrie Stevens. Afterward David Stubbs shot Stevens in the hand with a pistol and then drove off.

Yolanda Stubbs and Stevens were taken to the hospital. Police picked Stubbs up at his house and booked him on two charges of aggravated assault.
