MERIDIAN, Miss.–A man collecting trash for Waste Pro was shot at Thursday morning inside the garbage truck. Police said it may have been a feud between he and the shooter.
The truck was on its normal route about 10 a.m. when it was stopped by another truck and two men got out and began shooting. They didn’t actually hit the victim, but he was hurt by flying glass, reported WTOK TV.
The guy got out and took off running and the shooters shot at him eight more times. In all, at least 20 shell casings were found.
A school nearby had to be put on lockdown.
Police have not yet caught the shooters.
