Missy McGee was sworn into the Mississippi House of Representative to represent House District 102 Friday morning.

McGee was sworn in on the House floor by Speaker of the House Philip Gunn who presented her with a Mississippi House of Representatives lapel pin after she took the oath of office.

Representative McGee won the seat in a run-off special election on October 3.

“I am overwhelmed,” said Representative McGee after being sworn in. “I want to do good, I want to move the state of Mississippi forward. I want to work hard for District 102, central Hattiesburg which is my home.”
