JACKSON- The Mississippi Department of Public Safety held a memorial service to honor the agencies fallen officers on Tuesday.
The ceremony took place at 10:00 a.m. at the DPS headquarters on Woodrow Wilson Boulevard. This years keynote speaker was Lt. Gov. Tate Reeves.

This week is National Police Week and department across the state will be holding memorial services to honor fallen officers.

Additionally, the Driver Services office located at DPS headquarters will be closed until noon Tuesday and will resume full operation afternoon.
