Monday weather rundown: 10-9-17

North Mississippi looking at a warm and muggy Columbus Day. Highs will approach 90 with some stiff humidity. Afternoon thunderstorms will skim across the area, with scattered showers developing overnight.

Central Mississippi much the same: partly cloudy with high humidity and highs approaching 90. Afternoon thunderstorms will crop up (about a 50% chance) with overnight showers spreading across the area.

Across the Pine Belt, thunderstorms are expected all day with highs in the mid 80s. Tonight, heavy fog will settle in and stick around until Tuesday morning.

The Gulf Coast cleaning up after Hurricane Nate under heavy clouds, highs around 80 and scattered thunderstorms all day. Tonight, showers will clear out, leaving a muggy and cloudy Tuesday morning.
