STARKVILLE, Miss. – The Mississippi State football team will look even more like a winner when it takes on in-state rival Ole Miss during the 87th edition of the Egg Bowl.
The design of the Bulldogs’ special Egg Bowl uniforms for this year was released Tuesday and includes a lot of gold.
Made by Adidas, the uniforms are in white. The gold jersey numbers are outlined in maroon and include a pattern of gold mini outlines of the state of Mississippi.
Players will wear a maroon helmet similar to those worn during the regular season; but includes a gold facemask. The jersey pants are the same as the traditional visitors uniforms the team regularly wears during away games . And their cleats are gold with maroon writing.
Adidas said the uniforms are made with “TECHFIT Shockweb Technology” which it claims makes tackling more difficult to do.
