How Some Mississippians Feel About Assisted Suicide (AUDIO)

JACKSON, Miss. – Should people have the right to a physician-assisted suicide? News Mississippi discovered some Mississippians have been contemplating that question after Brittany Maynard of California died Saturday. She moved to Oregon where she was prescribed lethal drugs legally under the State’s Death With Dignity Act. Maynard decided to die on her own terms after doctors diagnosed her with brain cancer in January, saying she would only have months to live.

News Mississippi ventured out of the studio and to the streets to ask Mississippians if they felt assisted suicide should be legal or illegal:
