After spotting an eight foot rooster for sale, Sandy Childs Jones, commissioned her Facebook friends to rally together to purchase it as a joke. A month later, Sandy had raised enough money to bring the mammoth of rooster to her community. Roy the Rooster is now a integral part of downtown Corinth, Mississippi.
Each June, on the third Saturday, Corinth, MS comes together for the Rooster Run / Rooster Rally to raise money for a good cause. This year, The Big Chicken’s 5k Rooster Run and Chicken Grillin’ will benefit Pine Vale Children’s Home.
