MCCOMB, Miss. — Murder and kidnapping suspect Michael Wright has been captured in McComb.
He was staying at a men’s mission there and had been sent out to cut grass when he was spotted and arrested. Wright had been on the run since October 9, when Hinds County deputies say he shot and killed Jerry Brent and kidnapped Brent’s niece, Sharice Latham-who is Wright’s girlfriend. Latham managed to escape days later.
The murder and kidnapping happened while Wright was free on bond in another murder and kidnapping case in Batesville.
