OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. – A family, going through the belongings of a dead relative, found a very old grenade inside an Ocean Springs home Monday.
The Biloxi Bomb Squad came to the home after the family called police. There was, however, no danger of an explosion because it was a training hand grenade with a fuse that couldn’t work. There is a theory for why it has been around for so long. The family is guessing the grenade is a World War II souvenir.
