JACKSON, Miss.- The man who has been on the run since Tuesday is now in custody. 20-year-old Ricky Davis was wanted for capital murder in the death of his 17-month-old baby girl, Ra’Kayla Silman. She was rushed to the hospital on Saturday to be treated for head trauma.
In the initial investigation, police were told that she was with her father when she “fell and hurt herself.”
Doctors said that her injuries were not consistent with that of a fall, and that it didn’t appear to be accidental.
Ra’Kayla died from her injuries on Tuesday, and Davis awaits his court hearing.
