JACKSON, Miss.- The United Healthcare Community Plan of Mississippi has partnered with Alcorn State University Extension Program to get farm-fresh food on tables across the state.
Mississippi is 49th in the nation for overall health and 35% of the states adults are considered obese as of 2015.
The food will go to residents in food deserts across Mississippi.
