KILN, Miss. – Mississippi beer will be filling glasses in Ohio starting next week. It will be the first state outside of the south to be graced by the presence of Lazy Magnolia. For the initial roll-out, northerners will get to try out Southern Pecan, Southern Hops’pitality, Lazy Saison, and Timber Beast.
“I think Ohio is definitely ready for it,” said Joshua Boggs, Lazy Magnolia’s brand manager. “The bar scene and the restaurant scene is where I got my first exposure to craft beer. The energy in Ohio is definitely different from a lot of places, it’s already seen a lot of craft brands.”
Along plans to expand sales to Ohio, Lazy Magnolia had a ribbon cutting ceremony Friday for a 16,500 sq ft expansion to its brewery in Kiln.
