Arrests Made in Church Burglaries

CLINTON, Miss.- Two arrests have been made in connection with the two church burglaries over the weekend. Both Providence Presbyterian Church and Parkway Baptist Church were burglarized during the weekend of May 9-10.

One of the victims was a juvenile, and he’ll be charged with two counts of burglary of a place of worship and will be turned over to Hinds County Youth Court.

The other, 18-year-old Paul Covington, will also be charged with two counts of burglary of a place of worship.

Both suspects are from Clinton.

Covington remains in the Clinton Jail and will go before a Clinton municipal judge Wednesday for bond to be set.
