Trump’s nominee for Navy Secretary, Richard Spencer gave favorable response for Sen. Roger Wicker’s proposed legislation to help find a solution to the hypoxia-related episodes that occurred in T-45 training jets.

Officials reported finding black residue in the oxygen lines of jets being used for training safety. This residue threatens the safety of the pilots airflow.

The bill proposed by Wicker would allow the Secretary of Defense to offer a $10 million prize as an incentive for the best and brightest to take on the problem and find the cause and a solution.
