A teenager in Carroll County has been charged for the murder of his girlfriend’s infant son.
According to multiple reports, 18-year-old Tervonte Alexander has been arrested and charged after 9-month-old Sawyer Houston died last Wednesday.
According to authorities, the child was in Alexander’s care at the time and it appears that the Houston was struck in the head.
When the child’s mother, Saniya Jaxelle, returned to the home on County Road 149, her son was unconscious and she called 911. Houston was taken to a local hospital but died shortly after.
After the state crime lab completed a preliminary autopsy, Alexander was arrested and charged. He is currently being held in the Carroll County Jail without bond.
