Drowning at J.P. Coleman State Park: ID’d as East Union High Football Player

IUKA, Miss.–An East Union High School football player drowned during a retreat for the team at J.P. Coleman State Park Friday. Tishomingo County Coroner Mack Wilemon told WTVA that J.T. Hamblin, a junior on the squad, went under about 6 p.m.

Hamblin, a junior on the Urchins squad, was swimming in Pickwick lake.

His body was recovered about three hours later.
