From Mayor to the Big House, Paul Winfield Sentenced

NATCHEZ, Miss. — He was once mayor of Vicksburg, now he will be spending 25 months in prison starting in January 6, 2014. Paul Winfield had his sentencing in federal court Tuesday. He plead guilty to accepting bribe money in exchange for a city contract back in August. Along with the time he as to serve, Winfield has to pay a $5,000 dollar fine and another $7,000 to pay back the bribe money. He will also be required to attend an alcohol treatment program.
