Law enforcement officials are investigating a fatal shooting at a McDonald’s in Brandon.
The gunfire rang out at the fast food restaurant’s Stribling Lane location on Monday just before 7 p.m. According to police, one unidentified victim was killed, and the alleged perpetrator, whose name has not been released at this time, was injured.
Officials confirm that the victim was discovered deceased at the scene. The alleged suspect, on the other hand, was reported to have suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound when spotted by law enforcement.
The alleged shooter was transported to a local hospital to be treated for injuries. Police believe this was an isolated incident and that the public is not in any imminent danger.
