The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) has issued an updated damage report from Tuesday and Wednesday’s severe weather.

According to MEMA, one person in Grenada County died. Six were injured, two of which were in Scott County. Details regarding where the other four injuries took place have not been released at this time.

119 homes were damaged and seven were destroyed. Additionally, four roads, one bridge, three public buildings, and 10 businesses were included in the damage report.

“The state of Mississippi will continue working with local emergency managers to assess damage and respond as necessary,” Gov. Tate Reeves wrote on X. “Thank you to all of our first responders, road crews, and linemen for what you’re doing to help Mississippi recover. Our entire state appreciates you.”

As portions of the state recover and thousands are getting power back on, MEMA is asking anyone who experienced damage to their home or business to fill out this form. Assistance applications are expected to come out in the near future.
