A child was injured, and a driver was airlifted to a hospital following a crash involving a school bus in Lowndes County.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol reported that the accident happened along Highway 45 just south of Artesia around 4 p.m. Tuesday. Officials said a car collided with the back end of the school bus, caving in the front end of the vehicle that struck the bus.
One child on the bus reportedly had minor pain from the collision, while the driver of the other vehicle had to be taken to a local hospital. The condition of the driver has not been made available at this time.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
