1,399 new COVID-19 cases reported across Mississippi

COVID-19 is continuing to spread throughout the Magnolia State according to the latest report from the Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) confirming 1,399 new cases.

Tuesday’s update brings the state’s total number of cases to 879,183. With 11 additional deaths, the complete number of Mississippians who have passed as a result of the virus is now 12,664. In addition, there are currently 211 ongoing outbreaks in long-term care facilities.

Mississippi is averaging 1,188 daily cases over the last week, a 21% decrease from two weeks ago. As of Monday, 1,557,324 Mississippi residents were fully vaccinated.
