1,575 new COVID-19 cases reported across Mississippi.

The Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) reported 1,575 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday.

The latest update brings the state’s total number of cases to 880,758. With 10 additional deaths, the complete number of Mississippians who have passed away from the virus is now 12,675. Currently, there are 210 ongoing outbreaks in long-term care facilities.

Mississippi is averaging 1,232 daily cases over the last week, a 15% decrease from two weeks ago. As of Monday, 1,557,324 Mississippi residents were fully vaccinated.
