Two arrests have been made in connection with a double-homicide of a pair of Jackson teenagers.
Hinds County Sheriff Tyree Jones reports that Bruce White, 18, and Ezra White, 19, were handcuffed in connection with the killing of Terry Burrell Jr. and Khloe Hudson. Both victims attended Lanier Junior Senior High School and were 16 at the time of their death.
Police report that sanitation workers first discovered Burrell and Hudson deceased along South Springdale Road in Pocahontas on March 30. Just under a month later, law enforcement officials were able to take the suspects believed to be responsible for their deaths into custody.
Bruce White and Ezra White, who are not related to one another, are being held in the Hinds County Detention Center. Jones believes the two men knew the teenage victims prior to allegedly killing them, though he did not weigh in on a possible motive.
The sheriff believes there is sufficient evidence to charge both men with capital murder and is asking the public to report any additional information to his office to help strengthen the prosecutions’ efforts. Capitol Police and the Jackson Police Department have assisted in the investigation into this case.
