For the second time in as many years, the annual Egg Bowl between Ole Miss and Mississippi State will take place on Black Friday.
Officials from both universities made the announcement on Thursday. The Egg Bowl was played on Thanksgiving from 2017-23, excluding the 2020 season when the game was played on a Saturday due to the pandemic, before moving to Black Friday in 2024.

The 2025 edition of one of college football’s fiercest rivalries will kick off from Davis Wade Stadium in Starkville on Friday, Nov. 28, at 11 a.m.
Bulldog fans will get a doubleheader that day with the men’s basketball team hosting SMU as part of a home-and-home series that started in Dallas last year. A tipoff time has yet to be announced.
Ole Miss defeated Mississippi State in last year’s Egg Bowl, 26-14, to increase its series lead to 66-46-6.
