There is a threat of strong winds as arctic air surges into the area Friday night through Saturday. Aside from creating dangerous wind chill readings, these winds could become strong enough to damage trees, especially those already weakened or damaged by the recent ice storm. This could also complicate any remaining power restoration efforts.
