3,594 new COVID-19 cases confirmed in Mississippi

The Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) has confirmed 3,594 new cases of COVID-19.

As the Omicron variant continues to run its course throughout Mississippi, the latest report brings the state’s total number of cases up to 538,852. With the confirmation of 19 additional deaths, 10,439 Mississippians have died due to COVID-19.

Long-term care facility outbreaks now stand at 130. That number was at 82 on Tuesday.
