A lucky Long Beach lottery player is now nearly half a million dollars richer after winning the Mississippi Match 5 jackpot.
The player matched all five numbers – 6, 10, 27, 33, and 35 – during Wednesday night’s drawing to win the $460,000 grand prize. The ticket was purchased at Keith’s Superstore #108 in Long Beach.
Mississippi Match 5 is a two-dollar game played only inside state lines with drawings help every night of the week at 9:30 p.m. The jackpot now resets to $50,000 but go up with every ticket purchased ahead of Thursday night’s drawing.
A national game worth watching, or playing in, is Mega Millions, which currently has a $474 million jackpot going into Friday night’s drawing. Mississippi has seen luck as of late in the Mega Millions game with a pair of players winning over $1 million last month.
